Atmospheric but......

In general: Fabulous old building, but falling down, damp stains and ancient stairs. Three double flights with suitcases and poor knees was challenging. Rooms large and clean, and equipped to look good, but this was superficial. Two non operational lights, a third with a bulb missing were not replaced or repaired. Teh toilet flush often stuck running and the seat cover fell off frequently. 3 hangers for two people were augmented proudly with a further 2 hangers! Location and surroundings: Good, if rather dark,, location for walking and metro. Close to the archaeological museum. Surroundings were ....atmospheric..... Service: Friendly, and lots of care and presentation by the housekeeper in what was a minimal and pre packaged breakfast. we only saw the front desk staff twice,. The floor of six rooms generally felt deserted. Useful tips: Not worthy of 8.2 but definitely a Neapolitan experience.
